Infrastructure development efforts in Lam Dong province
Local authorities in Lam Dong province are addressing critical infrastructure needs through water supply and transportation projects. In the northern border and remote areas of the city, nine communes currently lack centralized clean water systems. Residents rely on dispersed sources such as drilled and dug wells, which face challenges regarding quality control and seasonal shortages, particularly during the dry season. Some areas report significant contamination, including high levels of iron and lime, impacting public health.
Simultaneously, Bac Binh commune is investing in rural road upgrades to improve connectivity and safety. A project for the Cha Vau field road, spanning over 6km with an investment of more than 19 billion VND, is currently 60% complete. Additionally, a 19 billion VND project to upgrade transportation and drainage systems across 13 routes in various hamlets is underway. These improvements aim to facilitate the transport of goods, support local economic development, and improve living conditions for ethnic Cham communities and other residents.
