Infrastructure developments advance on Balkan highway projects
Infrastructure development is progressing on two major highway projects in the Balkans. In Croatia, contracts have been signed for archaeological field surveys and continuous supervision for the new A7 motorway sections between Križišće and Selce. The work, divided into two groups, will be carried out by Arheo Kvarner and Lupercal M. T. to ensure the protection of cultural heritage and the environment during excavation and earthworks.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, construction on the 20-kilometer Rača–Bijeljina highway section has accelerated. Preparations are underway to lay the first layers of asphalt, following embankment and cement stabilization work. This section serves as a vital link to the Serbian highway segment (Kuzmin–Sremska Rača), which is scheduled to open on October 15. The project, valued at approximately 258.2 million KM, is being built by a consortium including Integral Inženjering, Srbijaautoput, and Institut za građevinarstvo IG, with Serbia financing 80 percent of the costs.
