Infrastructure developments announced for A7 motorway and Ungheni-Chișinău highway

In Romania, the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) has awarded the contract for the first two service areas on the A7 motorway to MOL România Petroleum Products SRL. The contract covers the area at kilometer 91 in the Valea Râmnicului zone for a duration of 20 years. The operator is responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the facilities, which must include parking for heavy and light vehicles, toilets, showers, fuel stations, commercial spaces, and at least four electric vehicle charging points per location.

In Moldova, the National Road Administration has launched a tender for the feasibility study of the Ungheni-Chișinău highway. This project is described as the most ambitious road infrastructure undertaking in the history of the Republic of Moldova.
