Infrastructure management issues reported in Adana and Alanya

Residents in Adana and Alanya are expressing frustration over infrastructure management and coordination issues. In the Seyhan district of Adana, citizens report that asphalt and soil waste left behind by ASKİ following infrastructure works have remained in vacant lots for months. Local residents state that the accumulation of waste has led to overgrown vegetation and has turned the areas into breeding grounds for insects.

In Alanya's Kargıcak neighborhood, controversy has arisen after ASAT crews excavated a street that had recently been paved with new asphalt. This incident has raised questions regarding the efficiency of public resource use and the effectiveness of coordination between local authorities. Despite a previous commitment by the Alanya Municipality to follow a ‘infrastructure first, superstructure later’ principle to prevent such overlaps, the recent excavation suggests a lack of communication or planning between the involved agencies.
