Infrastructure projects advance in Honduras and Dominican Republic
Infrastructure projects are progressing in Honduras and the Dominican Republic. In Tegucigalpa, the Juan Manuel Gálvez Bridge has reached 65% physical progress following the installation of the first section of pre-slabs. This construction method is intended to accelerate work and minimize traffic disruptions on the Anillo Periférico. The bridge serves as a vital connection to tourist destinations such as Valle de Ángeles and Santa Lucía.
In Nagua, the Malecón project continues with extensive sections of asphalt paving, curb construction, and the installation of New Jersey concrete barriers. While the project has seen schedule adjustments throughout 2026, work remains active on the 3.6-kilometer coastal avenue, which is designed to include two lanes in each direction, pedestrian sidewalks, a bike path, four bridges, and a coastal protection system.
