Infrastructure projects advance on bridges in Honduras and Argentina

Infrastructure developments are underway in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and San Tomé, Argentina, involving significant bridge and road construction projects.

In Tegucigalpa, Aníbal Ehrler, head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Transport (SIT), announced that the Juan Manuel Gálvez bridge is expected to be operational between late October and early November. Current work includes installing bridge ramp structures and beams, with lighting installation planned for September and slab placement for October. Other regional projects include a ramp to Las Casitas, a grade-separated bridge near Colonia Loarque, and a 5.5-kilometer highway expansion toward the southern zone.

In Argentina, municipal public works secretary Hernán Palmich reported that construction on access routes for a new bridge has begun on 7 de Marzo Avenue. The project involves repaving and lane reconfiguration, with work on the southern roadway expected to last three to four months before moving to the northern sector. These interventions are part of a broader timeline aiming to have the new bridge fully operational between March and April of next year.
