Infrastructure projects scheduled for Paraguay and Argentina

Infrastructure and maintenance projects are scheduled to begin in Paraguay and Argentina on Monday, August 31.

In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) will implement a new traffic circulation scheme on Avelino Martínez Avenue due to construction on Lot 1. The works, spanning the section between Acceso Sur (Tres Bocas) and Juan P. Sotelo street, are expected to last four months and involve concrete pavement construction. Drivers traveling from PY02 toward Asunción are advised to use diversions via Tirso de Molina and Defensores del Chaco, while those traveling from Ñemby toward San Lorenzo will follow an alternative route through Primero de Mayo and San Salvador.

In Villa María, Argentina, the municipality has announced two separate local initiatives. First, residents have until August 31 to request mandatory permits via the ViDi platform for pruning, extracting, or cutting tree roots to preserve the urban forest. Second, repaving works will begin on Alvear Boulevard, specifically the northbound lane between Mendoza and Entre Ríos streets. The project will progress block by block, with each section closed for approximately one week as crews mill the existing asphalt and lay new pavement.
