Infrastructure projects underway in Salto and Balcarce
In Salto, Uruguay, the Salto Transitable program is progressing with roadwork across various neighborhoods. The initiative involves both public tenders and direct municipal work to recover road infrastructure. The company VialNorte has begun a new phase on Diego Lamas street, while the company Bisio is conducting road recovery in the Cien Manzanas and Salto Nuevo neighborhoods. The plan includes stabilizing bases, applying cement, and implementing new bituminous treatments, alongside the construction of culverts to improve rainwater drainage.
In Balcarce, Argentina, the Secretary of Planning, Public Works, and Services, Gustavo Torres, reported on several ongoing projects. These include the widening of Provincial Route 55 to improve access to the Juan Manuel Fangio racetrack and a local school. Other works involve curb and pavement installation in residential areas, repairs to San Martin Avenue, and the construction of a new pediatric emergency module at the Municipal Hospital. Additionally, efforts are being made to improve rural roads to support agricultural production.
