Infrastructure works and road maintenance begin in Piacenza and Florence
Infrastructure projects and road maintenance works have commenced in several Italian cities.
In Piacenza, a 1.25 million euro project has begun to requalify approximately 1.2 kilometers of via Einaudi, specifically the stretch between the via Tedaldi intersection and the via Emilia Pavese roundabout. Mayor Katia Tarasconi noted that the investment is necessary because heavy traffic has caused deep deterioration, requiring the reconstruction of the road foundation and a total pavement thickness of approximately 40 centimeters.
In Florence, paving works are scheduled at the intersection of via Cavour, via dei Pucci, and via Gori. The construction involves overnight closures and significant traffic diversions. Changes include the implementation of one-way streets in via Cavour and via Guelfa, as well as the temporary revocation of preferential lanes in via della Colonna and via degli Arazzieri to accommodate alternative routes.
