Infrastructure works underway on roads connecting Bihor and Cluj

Infrastructure projects are underway on key roads connecting the Bihor and Cluj counties in Romania, specifically within the Apuseni Mountains region.

On the DJ 763 road, specifically the Padiș - Ic Ponor section, modernization works have reached 55% completion. The project involves significant mountain engineering, including the construction of 3,900 meters of concrete support walls, rock removal without explosives, and the installation of 37 culverts to manage water runoff. The foundation work is largely complete, with the second layer of crushed stone scheduled to begin soon.

Simultaneously, the Cluj County Council is performing maintenance on the DJ 108K (DJ 476B) road, which connects the Drăgan Dam to the Bihor county border. These works cover a three-kilometer stretch and focus on maintaining the asphalt surface, clearing debris brought by rain, and cleaning drainage ditches and culverts to ensure safe access to major tourist sites in the area.
