Ingolstadt hosts Christopher Street Day 2026 parade

The Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade took place in Ingolstadt under the motto ‘Kein Schritt zurück’ (No step back). The event featured a colorful parade through the city center to promote queer visibility, equal rights, and an open society.

During a panel discussion, BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN and the Grüne Jugend Ingolstadt participated to discuss political responsibilities. State Parliament member Florian Siekmann criticized the current Bavarian government, stating that while over 50 CSD events are held across Bavaria in 2026, the ‘QUEER Action Plan’ lacks binding measures, funding, and clear responsibility to combat discrimination and violence in schools.

Fabie Schuster of the Grüne Jugend emphasized that the city of Ingolstadt can take meaningful stances to support the queer community even with limited financial resources.
