InJourney Group celebrates Indonesian Independence with cultural showcase
To commemorate the 81st anniversary of Indonesian Independence, InJourney Group hosted the ‘Kesenian Rakyat dalam Kebersamaan Kemerdekaan’ event at Sarinah in Jakarta. The initiative aimed to provide a platform for cultural expression, community contribution, and the preservation of Indonesian cultural diversity.
The event featured over 1,500 artists performing various traditional expressions, including angklung, Tari Hudoq, Reog Ponorogo, and a colossal mask dance involving more than 100 dancers. Additionally, the celebration showcased 17 mask installations and 81 works made from janur. The program also supported 100 MSMEs (UMKM) in marketing their products.
InJourney President Director Maya Watono stated that independence serves as an opportunity to provide tangible benefits to society and support the growth of the tourism ecosystem. Through various subsidiary programs, the group also committed to supporting 810 tourism actors, providing 8,100 books, and planting 81,000 trees and mangroves.
