Inönü University launches campus outreach and guidance‑teacher tour in Malatya
Inönü University in Malatya opened information booths at a local shopping centre from 27 July to 2 August, offering prospective students direct contact with faculty deans between 13:00 and 19:00 each day. Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolak said the university’s 14 faculties and three vocational schools serve 33‑35 000 students and that recent higher‑education quota reductions after the earthquake will slightly lower undergraduate enrolment while postgraduate programmes will be expanded.
Separately, high‑school guidance teachers were invited to the university’s Life Centre for a half‑day tour. Vice‑rector Prof. Dr. Ali Özer and other senior academics presented the campus’s digital‑transformation office, a national‑scale technology workshop equipped with CNC machines and 3D printers, and library resources that include five libraries, 250 000 printed books and 4.5 million electronic items. The event aimed to improve guidance counselling during the university‑selection process.
