INPS launches recruitment of 1,695 permanent officials across Italy

The National Institute of Social Security (INPS) has issued a public competition for 1,695 permanent officials in the “Progettazione, Erogazione e Controllo dei Servizi” (PECS) area. The competition, originally planned for 1,024 posts, was expanded by an additional 671 positions, bringing the total to 1,695. Applications must be submitted by 27 July 2026 and are open to candidates holding a university degree, including humanities, economics, law, and social‑science fields.

The recruitment covers a wide geographic distribution, with allocated positions in regions such as Lombardy (190), Emilia‑Romagna (182), Veneto (96), and major INPS directorates in Milan, Naples and Rome. Selected candidates will receive indefinite‑duration contracts and will work on core pension, welfare and benefit services. One posting in Bolzano specifies a hybrid work model allowing both on‑site presence and remote work.

The selection process will be based on evaluation of titles and written exams, aiming to strengthen INPS’s technical and analytical capacity for managing Italy’s social‑security system.
