INPS pension payments for September 2026 begin September 1

Italian pension payments for September 2026 are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 1. This date applies to those receiving funds via bank transfers, BancoPosta accounts, savings books, or Postepay Evolution.

For pensioners collecting cash at Poste Italiane offices, withdrawals will follow an alphabetical schedule based on surnames to manage crowds. The schedule begins on September 1 for surnames A-B and continues through September 7 for surnames S-Z.

Many recipients will see changes to their net payment amounts due to several factors. These include tax adjustments (conguagli) from the 2026 730 tax forms, which may result in either refunds or withholdings. Additionally, a 5% deduction of the July 2026 pension amount will be applied to those who failed to communicate their 2022 income to INPS by the September 15 deadline.
