INPS issues advisory on Assegno unico and ISEE verification

INPS has issued an advisory regarding the 'Assegno unico' (single allowance) and the use of the 'ISEE corrente' (current ISEE) for benefit calculations. The agency noted that data declared in the DSU (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica) may undergo verification by comparing it against INPS archives.

Families whose data is flagged for clarification may see their benefit amounts temporarily recalculated to the minimum levels permitted by law while investigations are ongoing. However, INPS clarified that this does not necessarily imply an irregularity has been found. If the data is later confirmed as correct or the ISEE is regularized, beneficiaries may be entitled to retroactive integration payments for the months they received the minimum amount.

INPS will only contact beneficiaries if specific elements require clarification. Families can resolve discrepancies by submitting a new DSU if updates are needed or by providing supporting documentation to the competent INPS office if the original declaration is correct.
