INPS launches new digital services for Italy's disability 'Progetto di vita
The Istituto Nazionale della Previdenza Sociale (INPS) has activated two online services dedicated to the "Progetto di vita," a personalized pathway for people with disabilities, as part of Italy's Disability Reform. The tools, integrated into the Sistema Informativo Salute, Disabilità e Anziani (SISDA), let citizens submit applications electronically and enable Ambiti Territoriali Sociali (ATS) and regional bodies to view and manage requests, streamlining information exchange and reducing administrative burdens.
The pilot phase began on 1 January 2025 in nine provinces and was expanded in September 2025. From 1 March 2026 the service was rolled out to a broader set of provinces, including major cities such as Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Catania, Venice and Verona, and now also covers the Abruzzo provinces of Chieti, Teramo and L'Aquila. The services are accessible through the INPS portal and aim to make the disability support process faster, more integrated and centred on individual needs.
