INSS announces 2026 13th salary schedule for new beneficiaries

The Brazilian National Social Security Institute (INSS) has released the 2026 13th salary payment schedule for new beneficiaries who were granted benefits starting in May. Because previous payments were anticipated in April and May for existing beneficiaries, these new recipients will receive their payment in a single installment alongside the regular November and December payroll.

Deposits are scheduled to occur between November 24 and December 7, 2026. The specific dates depend on the recipient's income level and the penultimate digit of their benefit card. For those receiving up to one minimum wage, payments will be staggered from November 24 to December 7 based on the card digit. For those receiving above the national minimum, payments will occur in double dates between December 1 and December 7.

The 13th salary applies to retirees, pensioners, and holders of legal social security benefits, including proportional payments for temporary benefits like maternity leave. However, social assistance program recipients, such as those receiving the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC/Loas) or Lifetime Monthly Income, are not eligible for this annual bonus.
