INSS releases September 2026 BPC payment schedule in Brazil

The Brazilian National Social Security Institute (INSS) has released the payment schedule for the Continuous Provision Benefit (BPC) for September 2026. The monthly benefit, set at R$ 1,621, is intended to support elderly individuals aged 65 and older, as well as people with disabilities, who meet specific income criteria.

Payments are scheduled to begin on September 24 and continue through October 7, 2026. The distribution follows a progressive order based on the final digit of the beneficiary's benefit card (excluding the check digit).

To combat fraud, the federal government has intensified biometric requirements for the granting and renewal of benefits. Under Decree No. 12,561, the collection of fingerprints and facial photography has become a mandatory requirement for new BPC applications and most other social security and assistance benefits.
