Insta360 launches Mic wireless microphone with E-Ink display

Insta360 has expanded its audio ecosystem with the introduction of the Insta360 Mic, a wireless microphone designed for content creators, vloggers, and interviewers. Positioned between the entry-level Mic Air and the high-end Mic Pro, the new device features a customizable E-Ink display on the transmitter that can show logos, emojis, or personal images with minimal power consumption.

A key technical feature is the inclusion of a microSD card slot, allowing for 32-bit float local recording to minimize audio distortion. The system also supports direct Bluetooth connectivity to smartphones and Insta360 action cameras. For audio processing, the device utilizes a dedicated AI chip to enhance noise cancellation and offers various gain modes and vocal presets.

The system supports up to four transmitters connected to a single receiver. Battery life is rated at approximately 13 hours per transmitter, extending up to 34 hours when using the charging case. Pricing options include 85 euros for a single transmitter, 149 euros for a 1 TX + 1 RX set, and 269 euros for a configuration with two transmitters and one receiver.
