Intangible assets and AI drive shifts in global productivity and customer experience

Global business value is increasingly driven by intangible assets such as intellectual property, data, software, and organizational culture. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) estimated that the value of corporate intangible assets reached nearly USD $100 trillion in 2025, accounting for approximately two-thirds of global GDP over the last decade.

In the Dominican Republic, economic indicators show significant scale, with 2025 closing at USD $15,957 million in goods exports and USD $5,032.8 million in foreign direct investment. Additionally, the National Council of Export Free Zones reported USD $8,552.2 million in exports and the operation of 858 companies.

In the realm of customer service, companies are transitioning toward intelligent ecosystems. Gartner projects that agentic artificial intelligence could autonomously resolve 80% of common customer service issues by 2029. This shift moves beyond simple automation toward integrated systems where AI executes tasks and coordinates processes in real time to manage the entire customer journey.
