Ukraine attacks Russian shadow fleet and Crimean power; Russia bombs Kyiv, Odessa and Kramatorsk
Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces launched a large‑scale night operation hitting Kyiv’s drone‑production sites and Odessa’s ports, logistics hubs and fuel depots, claiming to have downed 178 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft.
The Russian air strike also damaged residential areas in the eastern city of Kramatorsk, prompting firefighting efforts.
Ukraine announced a coordinated drone raid that struck 13 Russian vessels near the occupied Crimean peninsula, including ten ships of the so‑called “shadow fleet” used to evade sanctions. The operation also hit five Crimean electricity substations, causing power shortages.
Ukrainian drone commander Robert Brovdi (“Madiar”) confirmed the attacks, noting the creation of a new “Crimean Switch Off” strategy and the establishment of a dedicated deep‑strike command to undermine Russian logistics and morale.
