Inter Milan intensifies pursuit of Curtis Jones and Cristian Romero
Inter Milan have renewed their bid for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, submitting a third offer of €35 million through intermediaries. Liverpool maintain that the player is valued at €40 million or more and have so far rejected Inter’s proposals, leaving a significant gap between the clubs.
At the same time, Inter are close to completing a transfer for Tottenham defender Cristian Romero. The Italian side have reached a club‑to‑club agreement with Spurs for a fee of roughly €40 million and are now finalising personal terms with the player and his representatives. Salary expectations and agent fees remain the last hurdles. Other European clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, have also shown interest in Romero, but Inter are positioned as the front‑runner.
Inter have also secured the signing of England centre‑back John Stones, adding experience to their defence and providing financial flexibility for further acquisitions.
