Inter Milan agrees €35m deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones
Inter Milan has reached a definitive agreement with Liverpool FC to sign midfielder Curtis Jones. The transfer is valued at approximately €30 million plus €5 million in performance-related bonuses, alongside a 10% sell-on clause for Liverpool.
Jones, 25, is expected to travel to Italy to undergo medical examinations before signing a five-year contract with a salary reported at roughly €3.5 million per season. The move follows long-term interest from Inter and aligns with the club's strategy of recruiting talent from the Premier League, following recent arrivals such as John Stones and Djed Spence.
For Liverpool, the sale provides a significant financial boost as Jones enters the final year of his contract. However, the departure leaves the squad's midfield depth under scrutiny. Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to navigate the transfer market, with ongoing interest in PSG players Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, though high valuations remain a hurdle.
