Internacional faces registration restrictions amid financial restructuring

Sport Club Internacional is facing significant financial and regulatory hurdles as it attempts to reorganize approximately R$ 31 million in sports debts. Following a request to join a Collective Installment Plan through the National Chamber for Dispute Resolution (CNRD), the club has been placed under a preventive block by the National Agency for Regulation and Sustainability of Football (Anresf).

This regulatory measure means that while the club is not strictly prohibited from permanent signings, all new player registrations must now receive prior authorization from Anresf. This adds a layer of oversight to the club's existing financial crisis.

In addition to these domestic restrictions, Internacional is currently serving two FIFA sanctions that prevent the registration of new players, stemming from unpaid debts related to the signings of Juninho from Midtjylland and Ramon from Olympiacos. Despite these challenges, the club recently ensured that player salaries were paid on time to maintain focus ahead of the Gre-Nal derby.
