International cooperation agreements signed in Paraguay and between Mexico and Colombia
In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Defense (MDP) signed a framework cooperation agreement with the International Association of Business Leaders (RIMEL), Paraguay branch, during the III RIMEL International Summit in Asunción. The agreement aims to promote joint actions regarding human rights, access to justice, training, and support for vulnerable populations. During the summit, the Defender General, Javier Dejesús Esquivel González, advocated for applying circular economy principles to the social and labor reintegration of former inmates to overcome documentary and social barriers.
Separately, private security firms from Mexico and Colombia signed the International Pact for Operational and Social Defense (PADOS). This initiative involves organizations such as SAMAHE Consultoría en Prevención de Riesgos (Mexico) and Sercopp Consulting & Services (Colombia). The pact focuses on shared training, information exchange regarding sector trends, and the implementation of technology for private protection, cybersecurity, and cargo tracking to strengthen community resilience against high-impact crimes.
