International drug operation leads to raids in the Netherlands
An international drug investigation has led to police raids across twelve locations in the Netherlands, including Oosterhout, Breda, Tilburg, Bilthoven, Zoetermeer, and Rozenburg. The operation, conducted by Dutch police in the presence of Belgian investigators, resulted in the arrest of nine individuals.
The investigation, led by the Halle-Vilvoorde prosecutor's office, targets a criminal organization that allegedly operated a professional distribution network for the Belgian market. The group reportedly used online advertisements and a digital menu to allow customers to order cannabis products 24/7. Belgian couriers were primarily used for deliveries, earning an average of approximately 10,000 euros per month.
During the raids, authorities seized approximately 50 kilograms of cannabis, 4 kilograms of hashish, 250 bags of THC edibles, and 68,000 euros in cash. Other items confiscated included luxury goods, vehicles, and various weapons such as knives and machetes.
