International sporting events held in Slovakia and Poland

The 39th World Skydiving Championships have commenced in Spiska Nová Ves, Slovakia, running from August 29 to September 4. Competitors are participating in disciplines including acrobatics and accuracy landing. The Polish delegation includes Łukasz Zajchowski, Robert Krawczak, Kamil Wójciak, Jan Mucha, Tomasz Rapita, Monika Bekhit, and Katarzyna Wójcik.

In Poznań, Poland, the World Paracanoe Championships recently concluded at the Malta track, featuring over 850 athletes from 79 countries. The Polish national team, led by coach Renata Klekotko, saw notable performances from experienced paddlers. Katarzyna Sobczak, a two-time Paralympian, finished in fourth place in the KL-3 200m event following a disqualification of another competitor. Monika Kukla also reached her second career World Championship final.
