International Thessaloniki Fair celebrates 90th edition with Japan as guest country
The 90th International Thessaloniki Fair (TIF) is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 13, marking a milestone year as the institution celebrates 100 years of history. The event expects over 200,000 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors from 25 different countries. Japan has been selected as the guest country of honor, showcasing its blend of tradition and innovation through 23 participations in sectors such as technology, energy, and health.
Various organizations are preparing specialized exhibits. EYATH will present ‘water intelligence’ technologies, utilizing artificial intelligence, satellite data, and sensors for more resilient water resource management. The Thessaloniki Dental Association will make its debut at the fair, offering interactive educational spaces focused on oral health and prevention.
The fair also serves as a historical landmark, having hosted numerous Greek heads of state, kings, and presidents throughout its existence. This year's edition aims to transition the exhibition center into a modern hub for business, culture, and innovation in Southeast Europe.
