Intesa Sanpaolo funds startups and green innovation projects
Intesa Sanpaolo has concluded its Up2Stars and In Action ESG CLIMATE programs, designed to support technological innovation and sustainable transition. Through these initiatives, the group aims to foster high-tech startups and projects that deliver measurable environmental impacts.
Under the In Action ESG CLIMATE program, three startups were awarded 100,000 euros each for solutions involving the circular economy, water loss reduction, and waste-reducing logistics. This program has awarded grants totaling over 2 million euros across 14 projects.
The Up2Stars program, promoted by the Banca dei Territori division, focuses on accelerating high-tech young companies by connecting them with investors and specialized operators. In collaboration with partners such as Microsoft and Innovit, the program provides infrastructure for development, including international missions to the USA for top participants.
Over the past decade, Intesa Sanpaolo has provided 1 billion euros in financing to 4,200 innovative companies and startups. The recent final events were hosted at the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin.
