Inuvik RCMP seize drugs and cash during search warrants

The Inuvik RCMP, through the Territorial Crime Reduction Unit, executed two search warrants on October 3 targeting suspected drug trafficking locations.

A search at a Bompas Street residence resulted in the seizure of a firearm, mobile devices, drug paraphernalia, and nearly $5,000 in cash. Iqbal Singh Dulay, 33, of Delta, B.C., was arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Dulay was already wanted on an outstanding warrant from Surrey, B.C.

A second warrant at a Bonnetplune Road residence led to the discovery of approximately $1,000 and drug trafficking paraphernalia. While two occupants were arrested during this operation, they were released without charges. The RCMP stated that the investigation remains ongoing and further charges may be forthcoming.
