Investigations underway following two sudden deaths in Brazil
Civil engineer Vinicius Leite Batista, 31, died in Piracicaba after reportedly hitting his head in a bar bathroom. Witnesses reported that the victim was with colleagues when he went to the restroom, where he was later found with a head injury. Despite being transported to Santa Casa by the Fire Department, he passed away shortly after arrival at the hospital. Police are investigating the circumstances, and the body has been sent for a necropsy.
In a separate incident in Paraíba, an electrician named Tiago Batista de Souza Silva, 33, died after suffering a sudden illness while performing maintenance work at the PB Saúde headquarters. Although emergency responders used a defibrillator and medical teams attempted resuscitation, he could not be revived. While initial forensic findings suggest a sudden medical event, a definitive cause of death will be established through a medical-legal report.
