Iore Group joins decentralized AI data center project in Japan

Iore Group has announced its participation in a large-scale project to build a decentralized AI computing infrastructure across Japan. In collaboration with Digital Dynamic Co., Ltd., the initiative aims to establish approximately 300 locations by 2030, with a total power receiving capacity of 600MW.

The project utilizes a base model of 2MW-class AI data centers designed for ordinary high voltage. This approach seeks to mitigate bottlenecks in securing GPU server installation sites by leveraging existing land and power infrastructure. By distributing computing resources regionally, the project aims to provide flexible AI computing power tailored to specific local needs, applications, and customer requirements.

Through this partnership, Iore Group intends to accelerate its ‘Neo Cloud’ business, which integrates GPU servers, data centers, power, cooling, networking, and operational foundations into a unified service. The company plans to transition from mere GPU server sales to providing continuous revenue opportunities through the sale of AI computing power.
