Decentralized AI computing infrastructure development

Overview

The landscape of decentralized AI computing is seeing developments in both financial frameworks and physical infrastructure.

In the United States, 0G introduced a “Compute Finance” framework designed to financialize access to AI computing power. This system involves the launch of the Infinite AI (iAI) digital asset, which allows users to stake tokens to earn compute credits. These credits are intended for use across supported 0G AI products, such as the 0G Private Computer, though the company noted they are strictly for accessing services and cannot be redeemed for cash.

In Japan, the Iore Group has partnered with Digital Dynamic Co., Ltd. to develop a large-scale decentralized AI computing infrastructure. The project aims to establish approximately 300 locations by 2030, utilizing 2MW-class AI data centers. By leveraging existing land and power infrastructure to mitigate GPU installation bottlenecks, the initiative seeks to provide regional, flexible computing power through the Iore Group’s ‘Neo Cloud’ business.
