IP3 highway traffic diversions scheduled in central Portugal

Traffic diversions will affect the IP3 highway between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu for four consecutive nights starting Monday. Between 21:00 and 05:00, motorists will be redirected to the old National Road 2 (EN2) due to ongoing duplication and requalification works.

The first diversion occurs between the Tondela Sul and Canas de Santa Maria nodes. Subsequent nights will see works moving to the stretch between Canas de Santa Maria and São Miguel de Outeiro. These interventions are part of a 103 million euro project to duplicate approximately 27.5 kilometers of the highway, improving connectivity between the coast and the interior of the central region.
