IPACULT hosts artistic workshops in Ciudad Juárez

The Institute for Culture of the Municipality of Juárez (IPACULT) has concluded several training sessions as part of the ‘De Oriente a Poniente’ program in Ciudad Juárez. This multidisciplinary initiative is being held from September 1 to 12 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Centro Municipal de las Artes.

One component of the program included a portfolio creation workshop for visual artists, led by Itzel Olvera. The workshop focused on helping creators organize and strengthen their professional portfolios to better present their creative proposals. Two selected projects will receive ongoing support to help them reach new exhibition spaces.

Additionally, a cinematography clinic was held in collaboration with the production company Creativos del Desierto. Participants showcased short films titled ‘LLa-ma’ and ‘Trauma,’ applying practical skills in direction, acting, production, and screenwriting. These activities aim to decentralize culture and provide local talent with professional tools for artistic development.
