Cultural and artistic programming in Mexico

Overview

Mexico has launched various cultural initiatives to promote artistic training and performance across different regions.

In Cancún, the Benito Juárez Municipality and PHAIS Entertainment introduced ‘Broadway Nights’ at the Teatro de la Ciudad, an original production featuring live music, dance, and acting inspired by famous musicals.

In Ciudad Juárez, the Institute for the Culture of the Municipality of Juárez (IPACULT), in collaboration with the Las Misiones Shopping Center, launched the ‘De Oriente a Poniente’ program to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Centro Municipal de las Artes. The program included a music production course and a cinematography clinic hosted by the Creativos del Desierto collective.

By mid-September, the ‘De Oriente a Poniente’ program concluded several sessions, including a portfolio creation workshop for visual artists led by Itzel Olvera. The initiative also featured the screening of short films titled ‘LLa-ma’ and ‘Trauma’ during the cinematography clinic, aiming to provide local talent with professional tools and decentralize culture.
