IPB University team implements digital paddy field platform in Merauke

The IPB University Patriot Expedition Team (TEP) is assisting village governments in the Kurik District of Merauke, South Papua, through the implementation of a digital paddy field platform. From August to November 2026, the team has been working to strengthen local human resource capacity in utilizing spatial and digital data for data-driven development planning.

During the initiative, the team conducted data collection to create spatial village profiles and digitalize rice field areas in Candra Jaya and Wonorejo villages. Local officials noted that the platform provides more precise data, which will assist in planning government assistance and food security programs more accurately.
