Ipiales, Colombia shooting leaves one dead and two injured

Police and judicial authorities are investigating a gun attack that occurred near the El Litoral service station in the municipality of Ipiales, Nariño, Colombia. The incident resulted in the death of 28‑year‑old Jeison Martínez and injuries to Brayan Díaz and Omar Bolaños, who were taken to medical facilities for treatment.

Officials from the National Police, the Criminal Investigation Section and the Technical Investigation Corps conducted a technical inspection, collected evidence and reviewed the scene. The motive and the identities of the assailants, who allegedly arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire repeatedly, have not yet been confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
