IPS digital census reaches 62,000 retirees in Paraguay
The Instituto de Previsión Social (IPS) in Paraguay has reported that approximately 62,000 retirees and pensioners have completed a digital census. This figure represents about 70% of the 91,600 eligible beneficiaries within the institution.
The digital update process, conducted in compliance with Law No. 430/73, requires beneficiaries to verify personal information, including updated addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, marital status, and details regarding heirs. The initiative aims to create a reliable database to improve communication and prevent improper payments.
To assist those with limited technological familiarity or connectivity issues, IPS has provided in-person assistance at institutional offices, as well as support via WhatsApp and official email.
