Exequiel Palacios nears Ipswich Town move from Bayer Leverkusen
Ipswich Town has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Argentine midfielder Exequiel Palacios. The deal is valued at approximately 30 million euros, structured as 25 million euros in fixed fees plus 5 million euros in variables.
Following an initial rejected bid of 20 million euros, the English club continued negotiations to meet the German side's expectations. Palacios, who has expressed a desire to move to the Premier League, is expected to sign a four-year contract, tying him to Ipswich Town until June 2030. The transfer aims to bolster the Ipswich midfield following the departures of Jens Cajuste and Dan Neil.
