In Iquique, Chile, a public parade was held to promote the Foster Families program managed by the Specialized Protection Service for Children and Adolescents. The event aimed to raise community awareness regarding the importance of providing temporary homes, security, and affection to children under state care.
During the initiative, 10 new families registered their interest in beginning the evaluation process to become foster parents. Ana Tamborino, the acting Regional Director of the Protection Service, emphasized that living in a family is an inalienable right for children and noted the transformative impact of the program.
