Super League matches end in draws for AEK and Atromitos
In the 4th round of the Super League, several matches ended in draws. Asteras Tripolis secured a 1-1 draw against AEK Athens at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium. AEK took an early lead in the 21st minute through an own goal by Laskaris, but Asteras equalized in the 31st minute via Bartolo following a defensive error by Moukoudi. AEK goalkeeper Brignoli made several key saves to prevent a larger deficit.
In another match, Iraklis and Atromitos also drew 1-1 at the Panthessaliko Stadium. Atromitos opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal by Tsiloulis, which was initially flagged for offside but confirmed by VAR. Pedro Marques equalized for Iraklis in the 73rd minute. The match was marked by controversy, as Iraklis players and officials protested a disallowed goal in stoppage time and criticized the officiating, claiming the VAR decision for a foul on Stavropoulos was incorrect.
Discussions regarding the implementation of Goal Line Cameras have also emerged following close calls in these matches, including instances where the ball struck the woodwork or appeared to cross the line without a goal being awarded.
