Greek football fan travel and security regulations

In early September 2026, the Greek football clubs Aris and Iraklis reached an agreement to facilitate ticket exchanges and fan travel for their upcoming derby matches in the Stoiximan Super League. This restriction drew criticism from organized supporters of Iraklis.

Following these security restrictions, the match between Iraklis and Atromitos at Panthessaliko Stadium concluded in a 1-1 draw. Atromitos opened the scoring in the 24th minute via Tsiloúlis, a goal confirmed after a VAR review. Pedro Marques equalized for Iraklis in the 72nd minute.
