Iran advances energy security through gas processing and optimization projects

The National Iranian Oil Company has signed a feedstock gas sales contract with Petroalayesh Dehloran (NGL3100) to collect, process, and sell associated gas from the North Dezful fields. The project aims to capture 240 million cubic feet of flared gas daily from fields including Dehloran, Danan, Azar, Cheshmeh-Khosh, and Paydar-e Gharb. With an investment exceeding $1 billion from various oil industry pension and welfare funds, the facility is expected to produce 40,000 barrels of +C2 daily, 850 barrels of gas condensates, 345 tons of sulfur granules, and 151 million cubic feet of sweet light methane.

In a separate strategic move to address national energy imbalances, Fanavaran Petrochemical Company has joined the ‘Karvar Plan’ through an agreement with Tapico Holding and Firmco Pars. This initiative focuses on optimizing energy consumption and implementing smart energy management to ensure production stability during peak demand periods. The plan is designed to protect national resources and mitigate risks associated with natural gas shortages in the petrochemical sector.
