Iran announces September subsidy payment schedule and amounts

The schedule and amounts for the September 1405 cash subsidy payments in Iran have been announced. Payments are distributed based on household income deciles through the welfare system.

For cash subsidies, members of households in the first to third deciles will receive 400,000 Tomans per person, while those in the fourth to ninth deciles will receive 300,000 Tomans per person. The tenth decile is not eligible for cash subsidies. The payment schedule is as follows:

• September 20: Pensions for beneficiaries under the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and the State Welfare Organization. • September 25: Cash subsidies for households in the first to third deciles. • September 31: Cash subsidies for households in the fourth to ninth deciles.

Additionally, electronic coupon credits for essential goods are being rolled out in three stages based on the last digit of the household head's national ID: the first stage on September 15, the second on September 25, and the third on October 5. Cash subsidies are transferred directly to bank accounts, whereas electronic coupons are strictly for purchasing specific essential items and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
