Iran and United States Exchange Drone Strikes and Air Attacks in Bahrain and Jordan

Iran’s armed forces announced that drones hit U.S. military facilities at Sheikh Isa air base in Bahrain and the Muwaffaq Salti (Al‑Azraq) air base in Jordan, striking fuel storage tanks, aircraft hangars, maintenance areas and troop accommodation.

The United States said it has conducted its 13th consecutive night of strikes on Iranian targets since early July, warning that Iran was responsible for Houthi actions in the Strait of Hormuz and warning of further escalation. Both sides claim the operations are retaliatory, but independent verification of damage is still pending. The exchange of attacks raises concerns of broader regional instability in the Gulf and surrounding states.
