Iran automotive and pharmaceutical sectors report mixed financial results
The Iranian automotive and pharmaceutical sectors show divergent financial trends for the five-month period ending in August 1405.
In the automotive industry, overall vehicle production saw a significant decline of 51.7 percent compared to the previous year, with total production dropping to 40,656 units from 84,120. Passenger car production specifically fell by 54.9 percent. Within this sector, Saipa Diesel reported a 29 percent decrease in cumulative five-month operating revenue, totaling 2,128 billion tomans. Conversely, Iran Khodro Diesel experienced a 99 percent increase in five-month operating revenue, reaching 25,087 billion tomans.
The pharmaceutical sector reported substantial growth. Ekseer Pharmaceutical saw a 192 percent surge in five-month revenue, totaling 7,238 billion tomans, driven largely by sterile products. Kimidarou also reported a 117 percent increase in operating revenue for the same period, reaching 1,286 billion tomans.
