Iran markets see rising car, gold, and currency prices

The Iranian economic landscape is experiencing significant volatility across the automotive, gold, and currency markets. Rising prices for gold and the US dollar are driving inflationary expectations, which in turn are pushing up vehicle prices.

In the automotive sector, both domestic and imported models have seen substantial increases. Domestic manufacturers Iran Khodro and Saipa have reported price hikes for various models, including the Tara Automatic and Peugeot 207. In the imported segment, luxury vehicles like the Lexus LX700h and high-end electric models from Mercedes-Benz have also seen significant price climbs.

Parallel markets are also seeing shifts, with 18-karat gold prices exceeding 24 million tomans per gram and the US dollar trading above 232,000 tomans. These fluctuations in gold and foreign exchange rates are closely linked to the upward trend in the car market, as investors and consumers react to the lack of political and economic stability.
