Iran automotive market sees widespread price increases

The Iranian automotive market experienced a widespread price increase for domestic and assembled vehicle models on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Market analysts report that price hikes for domestic vehicles ranged from 10 million to 160 million Tomans.

Within the Iran Khodro product line, the Dena Plus Automatic saw the most significant jump, increasing by 160 million Tomans to reach 3.69 billion Tomans. Other notable increases include the Peugeot 207 Automatic, which rose by 100 million Tomans to 3.7 billion Tomans, and the Soren Plus dual-fuel (large capsule) model, which increased by 45 million Tomans to 2.76 billion Tomans.

In the Saipa segment, the Shahin G with sunroof increased by 100 million Tomans to 2.82 billion Tomans, while the Saina S rose by 10 million Tomans to 1.685 billion Tomans. Experts warn that if current conditions regarding sanctions, exchange rates, and supply levels persist, price stability is unlikely through the end of autumn. There is a concern that rising prices may lead to a state of high costs without increased transactions, as declining household purchasing power reduces the number of actual buyers.
